  • Saint Paul's Church is a vital part of the downtown Augusta Community. The church is an important part of history in the Augusta area but it is now a vibrant, loving community of people engaged in reaching out to neighbors in the downtown community, the CSRA, our country, and the world. Outreach ministries involve mentoring at-risk students at a local elementary school, hosting a Christmas breakfast and celebration for children in need, providing food for the underfed in downtown Augusta through involvement with Manna Truck, Master's Table Soup Kitchen, and Downtown Community Cooperative Ministries, hosting socials with food and music at the Georgia War Veterans nursing home, and hosting socials for adults with developmental disabilities at Lynndale West in Augusta.
Saint Paul's is also supportive of the Augusta Half Ironman, the largest half Ironman in the world, and hosts an annual pasta dinner, volunteers at the swim start, and opens the church to athletes, family members, and race fans.
Saint Paul's is a wonderful community of faith and a loving church home.

  • This is a wonderful, very welcoming church. There are lots of activities and programs for adults and young people. Families will definitely find a home here.

This church is very pretty and the fellowship is generally good. However, I would like to take the opportunity to inform the head of the church of something. It is generally rude, insensitive, and slightly dehumanizing to command someone to smile. You do not know what they are going through and/or thinking about. Also, while smiling is a pleasant act, being commanded to do so is unpleasant and usually makes people feel worse. Thus, your command is truly only benefiting you and results in the target of your command feeling bad about him or herself. I write this because smile commanders usually frequently make this social error thinking they are being helpful to the target Additionally, they are unaware of how often they are not smiling Therefore, just wanted this individual to know that it is not polite. Please consider stopping.

As beautiful as the building is I would not try to have a reception in the river room unless you have too much money and don't mind being lied to by the staff. Tons of double talk, backbiting, and in general rude staff.
